Schools Renovations and Infrastructural Development
Educational facilities are often under-resourced, outdated, or non-existent in many rural communities. This lack of infrastructure hinders the ability of children and youths to access the education they need to develop and succeed. At Plungesmile Foundation, we believe every child deserves quality education, regardless of geographical location. Our mission is to bridge the educational gap for children and youths in rural areas through innovative programs to create lasting positive change.
Why Do We Need to Act?
According to UN statistics, nearly 263 million children and youths worldwide are out of school, with a disproportionate number living in rural areas. By addressing this critical issue, we can empower the next generation to break the cycle of poverty and build a better future for themselves and their communities.
Our Key Focus Areas
Our Renovation and Infrastructural Development Support program is dedicated to addressing critical infrastructure needs in underserved communities. Our focus areas include:
- Assessing Infrastructure Needs
We conduct thorough evaluations of existing educational facilities to identify areas needing improvement, including classroom conditions, sanitation, and access to learning resources.
- Renovation Projects
Our team collaborates with local communities to renovate existing schools, ensuring they provide safe, welcoming, and conducive learning environments. This includes upgrading classrooms, libraries, and recreational areas.
- Sustainable Solutions
We incorporate sustainable practices in our renovations and new constructions, such as using local materials and promoting energy efficiency. This not only enhances the educational environment but also educates students on sustainability.
- Community Engagement
We believe in the power of community. Our programs actively involve local leaders, parents, and students to ensure our efforts align with their needs and aspirations.
- Building New Facilities
In areas where classrooms do not exist, we work to construct new educational facilities, ensuring that children and youths have a place to learn and grow.

Our Other Programs
Open Arms
Plungesmile Open Arms was launched for individuals and families with meagre income or no primary source of sustenance.
School Feeding
PlungeSmile Foundation has initiated School Feeding Programme for the six public schools, for 900 hundred children.
Audio Visual Learning
PSF audiovisual learning creates and serves as an enlightening platform for students in underserved rural areas.
